Notes: | Son of Little Berry Phillips and Rosanna C. Baker who are buried at the City Cemetery in Raleigh, North Carolina. Married Ethel Lee Hogan on March 2, 1912 in Los Angeles. To this union were born Jarvis Berry and Elizabeth May Phillips. Elizabeth is also buried here at the old Palmdale Cemetery. After the early death of her husband Ethel May (Hogan) Phillips re-married to John Clarence Lawrence, who then adopted Jarvis Berry Phillips. Ethel is buried at the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, Raleigh, North Carolina Death Certificate Number 5503.
